Meagan Duncan agreed to marry me on Saturday, 3 May 2008. We will be getting married on the 16th of August in the Timp(can't spell it) Temple in American Fork, UT. we are both very excited. the pic below isn't one of our engagement pictures though. this is one that we took at her oldest sisters wedding...which just happened to be on the same day. we wanted to wait until after she was married so that we wouldn't steal any of the attention that she was getting. we love you Amy and Dru. also, we have a blog of our own. (yes, we jumped on the bandwagon of every other mormon couple and have our own blog.) there isn't a post on it yet, but i hope to get one up by the end of the day today. it will have pictures of Amy and Dru's wedding. and eventually, we will get some engagement pictures up there and some of the ring as well. the address isn't so different from mine. it is www.smbudge.blogspot.com. kinda cliche, i know, but it works. we like it. announcements and more information will be out soon. ;)

This is Her...

Well, this is her. This is her.

...finally...

I finally brought my camera with me to Euless and I am finally going to upload some pics. And I will have edited some then, too, with Picasa. Anyway....enjoy. :)

These were just cool. It was perfect timing. (by the way, that sounds really high school to me, "boyfriend and girlfriend") either way, she is my girlfriend and i am her boyfriend and things have been going really well....really well. when i say really well, i mean REALLY well. don't worry, if we decide to take things to the next level (the M word), everyone who reads this blog will know long before i post anything about it. i would consider myself a loser if my friends had to find out from a post on a blog. but, to keep you on the edge of your seat, august is a really good month...keep all saturdays open... ;) not saying anything is happening during that month, but their might be one saturday that month that i might need to see all of you. ;)

school sucks...as usual. i am not interested at all in bookwork. i am taking a biology class and man does it suck. i like to apply science when i learn it. it is way more interesting to me than a lecture from mister rogers. no kidding, my biology professor dresses like mister rogers and talks like jed clampet. he is the goofiest guy and the most boring lecturer. no worries though. i make good use of the time. i read my scriptures or something and pay just enough attention to his lecture that if i think he is saying something important, i will jot it down and then get back to reading. the time goes so much faster too.

work is hard. i work in a huge warehouse moving boxes all day long...so i am way buff now....ok not really, but i am in much better shape than i was....and that isn't saying much because i was a twig then and i am still a twig. i am very much looking forward to moving back to utah though, because i get my desk job back and i get to work with devin again. let me rephrase that, i get to do the thing i love (problem solve) and work with devin. it isn't really a desk job...ok it is. but i like it. end of may or beginning of june. i was going to start again in may at first, but then i realized that my brother is graduating high school like the weekend after i move, so i might stay a little bit longer down here. we'll see. i still need to talk to the boss in utah.

other than that, nothing really new on my end....yet (shifty eyes) lindsey will understand that. :D life is good and i hope yours is too. until next month.

...late...

i think i like how i put the dots (...) in front of and behind all the titles on my posts. it is unique i think.... i hope... ;) anyway. it has been a long while since i posted on here so now is as good of a time as any. i am at a company called Odyssey One Source right now. they are located in Euless, Texas, about a half hour from my parents house down here. I have been doing so much for DirectPointe here at Odyssey over the last month. this week was rediculous especially. it took four days to finally figure out how to set up their windows mobile phones so that they could get emails from the server. four days too long in my opinion. i had to do another one of those today and now that i know how to do it, it took a couple of minutes. what a pain. currently, i am working on their liquidation pc's. that is why i am online at the same time. i liquidated a couple already and kept one plugged in so that i have a way to communicate electronically with the rest of the world while i am here. work and post at the same time...i like it. if i am not online posting or sending emails or trying to fix phones, i am reading a book, scriptures, writing in my journal...or something like that. anyway. so this post,

well, not much is different from the last time i posted. i am in school and taking biology at TCC because that is about the only class that will transfer to BYU. so i am going to finish that class, get the transcripts sent up so i won't have to take it again. i am not a science guy. not a fan really. not a math guy either, which is why i was terrible at chemistry. the best part of my biology class is that my professor dresses like mister rogers. he is a goofball, but he knows his biology. he is a really smart guy, just goofy.

i got a new calling in church recently as well. i am now the ward clerk. holy crap that is a job. This calling keeps me on my toes. we have such a high turnover rate in our ward that we are requesting records almost every week. and callings change all the time and finances are not fun. wow, it is busy. but i like it. i am learning a ton.

as for my dating life. i am dating someone pretty seriously. not as seriously as lindsey is ;) congrats by the way lindz if you read this. but fairly seriously. she is trying to get into UVSC, which will be UVU. her name is meagan duncan. she comes from a military family and has one older brother and three older sisters, two of which are currently engaged. she is the youngest and i think, of course, the most attractive, though they are all very attractive. :) she wants to go to school to be a dental hygenist. not what she loves but she think very logically. she wants to do that so that she can help suppliment her hubby's income when the kids are old enough to all be in school at the same time. that and they get to choose their own hours and make fairly decent money. she is a smart kid. and i like her.

i still have quite a few pics that i need to post. one of these days, maybe tomorrow, i will bring my camera in here and post them, seeing as how this is the only time i get on the computer anymore. ;)
<img width='1' cents, because i think that she still doesn't understand my reaction to her pregnancy. i don't completely understand why she would talk about that in a blog, but i haven't gone through it and i don't understand what it does to a person. if it helps her to talk about it, then more power to her.

i love my sister. and it is true, we don't see eye to eye on everything. our personalities are very different and tend to clash...alot. also, as she said, things are getting better. but i really do love my sister.

i remember the day that she told us that she was pregnant like it was yesterday. everyone who didn't know already thought that we were moving again. my family tends to movie quite a bit. it happened just as she said it did. she said it through sobs and she got the reactions from all of us like she said she did. i really did say that. and i am not ashamed of saying it either. my sister made a mistake. and she will admit that it was a mistake. she said that i was on a pedestal. i probably was, but how can you help someone you love improve if you are not better yourself. that sounds kind of selfcentered. i hope that made sense. an example of what i am trying to say is how can a drug addict help another drug addict from quitting. it doesn't work.

my intention in saying what i said was to help her understand that in order for her to become better and overcome this mistake the right way, she needed to feel everything and feel it to the fullest. she needed to be dragged through the mud, i guess, not by me or anyone else, but by herself. she needed to feel that guilt that prompts us to change. i guess i didn't get across that i was supportive of her and love her.

i don't understand how she felt or what she was going through. and i am learning that girls, especially when they are pregnant think with their emotions and not very logically, so alot of her choices have not made sense to me. i have been and will always be there for my sister though. sometimes, however, (and this pregnancy was not one of them) we have to go through some problems on our own in order to grow like heavenly father wants us to grow. so kati, if i don't help sometimes, it isn't because i don't love you or care about you, it is because i do love you and want to see you grow like i know you can. ;)
<img width='1' height='1' short all at the same time. so much happened last year, for me at least. and for the world. it is amazing how much stuff you can pack into a day and how much history is taking place in a day. interesting to think about.

well, on new years eve, the singles dance (be jealous those of you that are married, not really, i wish i was married) was at our building. it was the entire region. for the entire region, not that many people showed up, sadly. singles dances down here have a tendancy to be terrible. mostly because of the music. the dj's think they are the ish and try and dj like they are in a club or something and play crappy techno the whole night. thank goodness our dj didn't, though he did try and show off his dj skill by running several songs together that were really bad. he did that a couple of times with techno songs and then latino songs. it was annoying. but he did play alot of popular music to. everyone likes to dance to popular music. much better. it was pretty good. decorating it was a beast though. rachel may and i figured out how to do a canopy of stars that actually worked out really well, if i do say so myself. it turned out a lot better than i thought it was going to. we had a bunch of stars left over too that i think would have made it look that much better, but we didn't really have time. oh well. all in all, it was a fun dance, even though i didn't dance a whole lot. i prefer to watch. i am not a huge dancer. and there were a bunch of pictures taken too, but not by me. i had a bunch of friends take pictures. i will have to get them from them.

and we took a family picture on christmas day. i will need to post some of those. some are pretty funny. my dad had me pose for the camera while he was trying to figure out the settings on the camera....yeah... it was interesting. so those of you who have been asking for an update, this is it for now. i will post the pics when i get them.
<div nothing to do. we opened presents at 630 this morning...and that's about all we have planned. when i was younger, we used to be able to play with presents all day...or use them, like gaming systems like the N64 and such. now that i am older, it is kinda hard to use a bunch of clothes all at the same time. and i as i get older(i say that like i have some years behind me), i realize more and more that i would love to spend this time with that special someone that i haven't found yet. someday though i am sure. i did get something i could use to pass the time, but i already watched it. i got the blue man group concert tour dvd. and we watched it already. and it is only 1145 in the morning. i am done watching tv though. i want to get out and do something. i am tired of being lazy. i guess i could go and finish my chores that i didn't do on saturday.
saturday was a good day. went and cleaned the church in the morning after shopping for kati, then watched football all day. first was the trinity game on tv, which they won!! and then it was the BYU game, which they barely won but should have won by alot more. they are such a much better team than they played that night. it was frustrating. but they won and that is all that matters.
anyway, back to christmas and boredom. on a lighter note, i did take some pics of christmas and found some pics that i said i was going to post from holloween. so here they are.

<a am here in texas with the family. just about to head to bed. it is kind of early for me to go to bed. i am normally in bed after 11 so 9:45 is pretty early. on christmas eve we always have pizza for dinner and always watch the movie white christmas with bing crosby and danny kaye. we also always get to open one present, which is always pajamas. i didn't want to get into my pj's this year, but i was kind of forced to. oh well. tradition is tradition.

i wanted to take a sec and just make a comment about friends and how awesome they are. before i had dinner, i was able to talk with a friend who is in utah right now. before i talked to her i was having a fairly rough christmas holiday. some things in my life have been worked out and some were and are having some difficulty being worked out. i know about school and work now, finally, but relationships and family life are a bit rough and were causing a lot of problems for me. all i had to do was just talk to her and everything was ok. without really realizing it, i think she made my day. it was really good to just be able to talk to her as just a friend. so, if she ever reads this, thanks and i am looking forward to seeing you again in the summer, you and all of my other friends up there. i miss you guys a lot. anyway, thanks and merry christmas!!

<img width='1' height='1' It has been a while. In that short while my family decided to move houses. It was pretty much just up the road so it wasn't that far, but I had forgotten how much stuff we actually have and tend to collect. I am tired. I am done moving; though I think that I have much more of it ahead in my life. Well, I told Kristen that I would send her pics of the inside of the new house. She had already seen the outside...now that I think about it, I don't have any pics of the outside of the house. Oh well. I might post one later. It is red brick...just like just about everything else in this state. Please also remember that this is big for us. We have lived pretty modestly for most of our lives and now we have a chance to live fairly comfortabely. Anyway, here they are. There is a short narrative at the bottom of each of the pictures.

This is the entryway from the front door. We hardly ever use that door. We mostly come in through the garage. The door on the right is to the office and the hallway leads to the kitchen. If you turn to your left, you will walk right into the front room.

This is the office. Once again, I should have turned the light on. The opening you are seeing in the back by the boxes is the dining room.

...the dining room from the kitchen. Not much of a dining room right now...it will be someday...maybe.

The kitchen from the dining room. We spent most of a day painting this kitchen from a nasty green color to a mint green color. My mom loves the granite countertops. And we will be getting a new table too. In the back is the family room and the door that you see is to the three car garage. The garage isn't very long, but it is wide so it is easy to get in and out of cars. Yes!!!

The kitchen from the family room. We are probably someday going to take the paint off of the cupboards. My dad thinks that there is oak wood under there....more work. The door on the right is too the backyard and the opening by the fridge is too the dining room.

The family room. We also spent most of a day painting this from a very light blue color. My dad wanted it done before the new couches arrived. That was rough.

Backyard.

Backyard. Right at the top of the stairs. Ali's room is right on the right. Just a bit farther down on the right and you get her bathroom and then if you keep going, you get my parents door. The door in the back is a pretty decent sized walk-in closet. If you turn a little more to the left, there is a door to her bathroom. Yes, she has her own bathroom with TWO sinks. All the boys get is a jack and jill bathroom. Girls are spoiled.

Ali's bathroom from the game room. The little door in the wall is a crawl space. And man is it a crawl space. This is the left side of the closet. All of my mom's stuff. Mind you, there is some hanging space over my head too that is up near the ceiling. My dad's side. It is huge. It is five to 8 paces (depending on how long your legs are) from my mom's side of the closet to my dad's side. It is very large. And don't forget the ceiling space. Very nice.

hmm. No this is not my room. This is Rayo and Nick. Messy as usual. The door in the back is their walk-in closet that isn't really that big.

This is a shot from inside their bedroom. We have oak dressers, a light colored wood for a bookshelf, yellow pine for a bed frame, and a bright green wall on the left. You can't see it in this one, but you can in the next. My bed has nothing on it but the sheets and the pillows. The skateboard is Remi's. If you go around the dresser on the right, you will be looking at our side of the bathroom.

This is what I get to look at when I wake up in the morning.

the pictures are coming later because not everything is done being unpacked and we still have some new furniture items to purchase. because this house is bigger, we have more space that we didn't have before, almost an entire room, so we are getting more furniture to fill it. so the pics will come in a week or two. that and kristen wanted to see the new house.

so i started sales today for directpointe and i realized that i am a terrible salesman. i was much better in procurement. and i liked it more. all i need to do though to stay on is hit 7 leads a month. it is harder than it sounds though. i am terrible. i said a couple of posts ago that i was going to get my associates while i was down here. i don't think that that is how it is going to work out now. as much as i love being home, i don't know how long i will last at this salesman job and i want to go to byu. there are some other things involved with that but i don't want to go into those too much right now. i need to figure it out before december though. i will be heading back up to utah for a visit right after thanksgiving in california with my mom's family and i think that will be when i make my decision. i don't want to rush into anything like i did with my move back home. don't get me wrong, it was the right decision, it just happened really fast. i left a very good job that was paying very well and had another job on saturdays that was just fun. i got paid to have fun basically. but it was awesome. i was going to be able to pull myself out of dept but not take any classes in the fall and once again have to pospone my schooling and i really did not want to do that. schooling is my main reason for moving down here. there have been a couple of perks along the way, like meeting kristen. that was a huge plus but not the reason i did it. anyway. that is me for now. we'll see how things work out later on.

life back at home...

Well, life back at home. You know, I really love my family, I really do. Sometimes there are headaches, as with anything or anyone, but who would I be without my family. I love being home. I have been able to spend alot of time with my brothers that I wasn't able to do before. I was always gone before I left on the mission. When I got home, it was work and church. I was hardly ever home, and I couldn't do a whole lot with them. Now that I am home again, I still have a hard time doing things with them because they are all busy doing stuff everywhere else. School has started and they are in everything from football to drama to choir. Always gone. But I am looking forward to spending the next few months with them and having the priority be the family rather than everything else.

A large part of me moving home was so that I could get enough college credit to transfer back into BYU as an enrolled student rather than a visiting student or just a night class student. To be completely honest, I could have stayed in Utah and done the same thing. I was going back to fulltime work at 15 dollars an hour(which is pretty darn good for a college student in Provo) and I had a saturday job(that was just fun, I didn't really need that one) giving horse rides in Park City. I could have just taken a night class and then gotten the last three credits I needed to transfer. When my family decided not to move out to Utah, I felt very strongly that I needed to come home. To be completely honest, it is alot harder being home again than being on my own. I was just about to start doing really well financially for a college student and I was very comfortable where I was at. But, I felt that I really needed to come home. As it is, I am taking two classes(because that is all I can afford at the moment) and will be starting work again for DirectPointe as a Sales Associate on monday(finally a paycheck!). With this new job, there is a great potential for earning a lot of money. But if I am only in Texas until December, I will not have earned a whole lot. Anyway, my point is that it is working out. It was really, really hard for me the first two weeks being home because I could not get my job worked out, I had no income at all, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get into classes. As it is now, things have worked themselves out. And it is looking like I will be back up in Utah sooner than I anticipated. Things have kinda taken an interesting twist. So, earning a lot of money with this new job will be very helpful. And reducing costs by moving home is going to help a lot as well.

Kristen came out to Texas to visit last weekend. We had an awesome time and she loved being here. We took a couple of pictures but this one beneath is my favorite. This was taken the morning that she flew home.

Pictures!!!

So the first group of pics I took one morning on my way to class. Honestly though, I really don't have a problem with that. I should be writing in a regular journal anyway. I guess I should really try and keep all of that in one place though. And I could go on and on and on for hours. I tend to bable when I write, though I am not like that in person. Anyone who knows me agrees that I am extremely intraverted and don't talk a lot at all. So this becomes an outlet for me, though not many, if any, read this, it is nice for me to "let it all out" so to speak.

So yeah, I was going to write about my experience last two weeks ago. I went out on a date with a girl that is so amazing. I know this is dumb and it seems cliche to write about stuff like this in a journal, but let me explain. I met this girl, her name is Kristen Bleak, when I first moved into the Riviera apartments in May of 2006. My first impression was that she was way out of my league. So, naturally, as a very shy intravert, I kept to myself and didn't really talk to her. My whole thinking was, Maybe if I don't talk to her, I can't make a fool of myself by saying something dumb.(which I do constantly by the way as any one of my friends can tell you. I say some pretty dumb stuff sometimes.) So, I went over a year with seeing her very occasionally and hardly saying anything. Then, a couple of days before I move back, Seth Martinez, an old roommate and someone I highly respect, convinces me that I have a shot and that I should take her out on a simple date the Wednesday before I leave. I honestly thought to myself, Well, it wouldn't hurt. So, we went. It was awesome!!! That was the funnest date I have ever been on. All we did was go to the batting cages and then to her apartment for ice cream and laughs. It was awesome. Apparently, she thought so too. We have talked for at least an hour every night since I have been gone, and she is coming to visit this weekend. We'll see.

So that was that. On a more normal note, I did get into school down here for the fall term, which I am very happy about. But my job is proving to be a little difficult to nail down. I was supposed to stay on with the company I was working for in Utah, but management is being a bit sluggish about this. I have been looking down here in Texas at other places that might hire, all the while trying to keep in touch and get the ball rolling back in Utah. I finally made some headway today back in Utah and got the ball rolling a very small amount, but at least it is moving. I am going to have to keep pushing though or nothing will get done.

So this is my life up to now. And one more thing...my parents just bought a very sweet truck today. I will get some pics tomorrow and post them. It is awesome!! Anyway. Laters!

Life and all that comes with it.....

Well, it has been quite a while since I have written a blog. I was checking out some of my other friends blogs and decided I probably need to update anyone who actually reads this blog. I think Anna is the only one that pays any attention anymore, but anyway. She is correct, my last day at DirectPointe was last Thursday. I moved back home to Texas so that I can focus on getting into school. I am going to try and get my associates degree here and then transfer back up to BYU to get into the business school. I just couldn't perform my responsibilities at DirectPointe and go to school at the same time. The job was really demanding. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my job, but I couldn't go to school like I wanted to.

So yeah, I moved home. I got here in one day. Man that was a long day. We made the trip in 19 hours. We left Provo at 5 in the morning and didn't get into Fort Worth until about 12 Utah time and 1 AM Texas time. That was such a long trip. But we did it. And man does it feel good to be home.

Well, I think this will be it for now. I had an interesting and very surprising and and a very good experience on Wednesday night. I will bring that up though when I see how things turn out because of it. its all good.

today was the first full work day for me in about three months. it was crazy today. it was "bring your kid to work day" today. we do things a bit differently at DirectPointe though. rather than let the kids hang with their parents, we give them things to do. i was asked to be a supervisor i guess. it took a lot out of me. right around noon is when we got done with all of the activities and the kids went home. i sat at my desk and started to work and then, all of a sudden, my energy left me. i was drained. props to parents. kids are a handful.

i am still going to school. i have a cebuano class and the first half of new testament. i love school. i never thought that i would ever say that but i do. school is the best thing. i love learning, even though i don't learn like i used to. i am not a sponge like i used to be. thus it takes a lot more out of me to remember stuff and to actually learn. i used to be a master at test taking. now i am way better at homework than tests. it has been way too long since i have been in school. five years. way too long.

recently, i have had a lot on my mind. my life is going in the right direction and i feel like i am doing what i am supposed to, it is just that there seem to be a few things missing. almost like a hole in my life. i am probably the most fickle guy in the world. it sucks. i have hurt some one very special to me because of it. and it wasn't intentional. and i still care a lot about this person, but i have blown it. and hence the hole. she is moving on, which is the right thing, but i am dying. and it has nothing to do with her. i am just a moron. i don't want to put her on another emotional roller coaster, but it is so hard to be without her. i am happy for her that she isn't letting me hold her back, but i am having the hardest time. emotions suck sometimes. but then other times, they are so beautiful. so life is life. maybe next time i will have pictures.

Happy Birthday to Me...

well, today is the day. i was born 23 years ago this day. can i say that i don't feel 23? i don't feel a day older. i feel more tired than usual though. but that is because of finals i think. i have three finals to take in two days. i have one at 7 tomorrow morning which is going to be killer because it is my chem final and i am not doing so hot in chem. i am going to try and study my brains out so that i can get a decent grade on the final to hopefully bump up my grade. anyway, my birthday.

not much of a day, as i wanted it to be. i would much rather not draw attention to it. i have put too much expectation on my birthday when i was younger and was disappointed every time. i can't tell you how many times that i tried to have a birthday party or something when i invited a lot of people who i thought were friends only to have three or four people show up. not a huge self-esteem builder. that is why i don't like birthday parties and especially surprise parties. can't stand 'em.

i spent most of the day working. i got a call from dad first. we talked for a bit but he had to get to work and so did i. then mom called and i got to talk to her for a bit. then i got a few texts here and there from friends. i am surprised at how many people actually remembered though. i tried to keep it hush. i really didn't want to make a big deal out of it. as negative as i am about my birthday, i am very thankful for the friends that i have and their support for me.

mom sent me a box that got to me today. i don't think that she was intending it for my birthday, but it got here today so it made it that much better. and she is bringing some good stuff when they come up and bring Kati's stuff in a week. i haven't seen the fam since Christmas. I wish we could be closer. it isn't until you are far away that you realize how much you love them. <sigh>

so, happy day. :D

Father's Day

Well, it has been a whole month. Today is Father's day. I already talked with my Dad today and wished him a happy Father's Day. I kinda wanted to do the same thing for Father's Day that I did for Mother's Day, but just say the things I like most about my Dad. And I am sure that some of these will be the same as for Mother's Day.

My Dad works so hard to make sure that his family is comfortable, but is there for us all at the same time. Not too many Dad's can say that they make enough money to comfortably support their family and still be there for them. My Dad can.

My Dad loves my Mom and we know it. I cannot tell you how many times that he has told us this in family councils and stuff. Aside from that, he has told us and proved to us over and over again that he would much rather be out shopping with Mom than doing anything else.

My Dad loves the Church. I have never known a man so devoted and so willing to sacrifice for what he believes. I know that many of the early members of the church had to sacrifice a great deal, but I never knew them. My Dad is a living example of having an eye single to the glory of God.

My Dad loves his kids. Everything he does, he does first for the betterment of his family. That entails moving a lot, and every time that we moved, it was always to a better standard of living. He is also my mentor and greatest teacher.

I love my Dad. Happy Father's Day.

Mother's Day

Well, today is that blessed day called Mother's Day. I just want to say a few things about my Mother. More like the ten things I like most about my Mom. I could say a lot more than ten, but it would take a really long time.

10. My Mom makes the best meals. It never fails, Mom's homecookin' beats all. There is nothing better than comin' home after a long day...or several months away from home...and tasting of the goodness that Mom so lovingly prepares and slaves over just so that it feeds us and tastes good.

9. My Mom is so practical and frugal. For most people, that is one of those kinds of things that you don't necessarily want to be complimented on. Most people prefer compliments about their hair, or jewelery(if your a girl), or clothes. But because my Mom is this way, she helped our family through some really tough times.

8. My Mom is sooo patient. I have never met a more patient person...towards her kids at least. I am ashamed to say that we put her through the ringer sometimes....more than we should have....and she was still so loving and willing to teach us and help us learn, even though she claims we gave her her one gray hair.

7. My Mom is so loving and giving. She will sacrifice more of her own wants and desires to make sure that everyone is ok and comfortable, especially her kids. I learned just recently that when I was a much younger lad, when our family was going through a particularly difficult time, that she sacrificed getting some necessities for herself and her health so that her kids would be warm and full.

6. My Mom is not one to question....in most cases. When something comes a long or happens that might be a trial or a tribulation, and almost be unbearable to some, she takes these things in stride and rolls with the punches, always keeping a very positive attitude. She won't question or ask why things happen the way they do or why things happen to her, she just accepts them and moves on.

5. My Mom is extremely caring. She is currently serving as the Stake Relief Society President and has told me personally on numerous occasions about what is happen with her sisters as a whole. She is smart enough not to get into specifics, but as a whole, lets me know how much she loves her calling and those she serves and how she wants the best for each of them in their different situations.

4. My Mom loves the Lord. Through her example, she has shown me(though it has taken me an unfortunately long time to learn this) that she loves the Lord. It is through her example, as well as my Dad's, that I learned how gain my own personal relationship with the Lord.

3. My Mom shows her love for her kids. She is never afraid to tell us that she loves us and show it to us through hugs and kisses and all of those other "gross" things that kids get embarrassed about. And as afor mentioned, she will sacrifice a ton so that her kids are ok. She loves us enough to make us work, and not buy us the most fancy things.

2. My Mom loves my dad, and she is not afraid to show it. I never have to worry about my parents separating or divorce. I know that even though they may disagree sometimes, they love each other enough to recognize and comprimize. That, the fact that they tell us all the time that they love the other, and their interesting and sometimes "gross" PDA's tell all.

1. The greatest thing I love about my Mom is that she is just the best mom their ever was. I would never trade my mom for anything there ever was or ever could be. At least today, I have been thinking a lot about what Al Sharpton said about the Mormons and how we aren't Christians. That thought process segwayed into thoughts about our Government and how they are leading us. I wish sometimes...a lot actually, that people would just be honest. I don't really understand why that is so hard. I guess people aren't honest because they have something to hide. So, my thinking is, don't do anything that you have to hide. As I was thinking about our Government officials, the thought came to mind also of Captain Moroni. The Nephites back then had very corrupt officials. Moroni saw the impending danger of corrupt leaders and the approaching threat of the Lamanite "terrorists." I wish sometimes that that scenario were possible in our day.

I don't mean to be preachy or talk about politics. It is just what is on my mind. I have had a lot of fun these last few weeks. I am finally in school...and what a struggle it is to stay in. Financially, for a student who isn't enrolled, it is very expensive. I love it though. Being in school and learning is an amazing thing. I have been struggling to get into school since I got home from the mission, and I am kinda glad that it has taken me this long. I love having homework and quizzes and being busy with school. I think that if I would have enrolled in school sooner, I wouldn't be this happy about it. There are a lot of good things happening in my life right now too. Things aren't going smoothly, and I kinda like it. Sure it is hard to get through and sometimes very draining, but I am trying to take a more positive attitude towards life and trials. I love that I am learning through experience.

the funnerest....

So we had the funnest ward activity on Monday. This picture was taken in June of 2006. This was the first time we were all together in about 4 or 5 years. The last time we took a family picture was when I was still a senior in high school. So yeah, it was 4 years. I had gone on a mission and Mike and Shaunae had added a few to their family. That and everyone had grown up and older. From left to right on the back row is Gisele Aleine (she goes by Ali), Mom (or Grandma), Dad (or Grandpa), Dillon is in Dad's arms, Katia Julienne (or Kati), Stephane (or moi), Remi Joel, and Rayo Pascal. The bottom row starts with Hayden then moves on to Nicolas Didier (he goes by Nick), Michael Bradley (who goes by Bradley), Shaunae with Ashbey in her lap, and Michael Dee. This is my family. I love them. Not all are brothers and sisters by the way. Mike and Shaunae are married and their kids are the four youngest in the picture. Mike was pretty much adopted into our family when he was fourteen, but he is still my older brother. I like 'em.

My First Blogg

This is just outside of Monticello, Utah.
